Matt Valentine - Dallas Entrepreneur in Oil and Gas and Pro Soccer

Based in Dallas, Matt Valentine has an extensive oil and gas sector leadership background and serves as founder and partner for Rimrock Midstream, LLC. Mr. Valentine was formerly founder and CFO for Rimrock Energy, LLC and currently sits on the senior advisory board of Orion Infrastructure Capital. During the course of his career, Matt Valentine has overseen complex strategic negotiations as well as numerous corporate finance projects. His present focus is on launching the United Soccer League (USL) Dallas men’s professional soccer franchise.

Serving as chairman, Mr. Valentine is working to position USL Dallas as a community asset within what is already a large and growing soccer community in DFW. The USL club will begin play in the 2027 season, and executive team members are planning strategic elements such as creating a youth academy team and developing a stadium in Garland.

Matt Valentine earned his bachelor’s degree in economics at Washington University in St. Louis in the mid 1990s, and competed on the varsity men’s soccer team. In addition to Rimrock and Orion, his background extends to leadership roles with companies such as Millbrook Equity Partners, and the board of the BuddyLove clothing label.
